What Rachel did at the Freud museum
I spent tonight at the Freud Museum’s ‘Objects In Mind’ exhibition, which brings together Maggi Hambling’s magnificent self-portrait (above), with Freud’s own obsessive collecting habit (his study reveals masses of books, stones and statues), and meditations on the meanings objects have in ordinary people’s lives. A little out of the central London way, but well worth a look if you’re in town before 27 February.
